Sources confirm that producers of the CBS sitcom approached Sheen's ex-wife Denise Richards about appearing in the episode.

Life & Style magazine reports that Richards was offered a whopping $100,000 to play one of Sheen's character's exes at his funeral. The tabloid also claims that Richards had a hard time turning them down because "she really wants to get back into TV."

Not so fast, say our sources.

Richards didn't even have to think twice about it. "She would never do it," a source said. "Charlie would have gone ballistic."

Richards on Two and a Half Men would be brilliant, but a "ballistic" Sheen? Not so pretty.

A rep for the show did not comment for this story.

But come to think of it, maybe Sheen would have been cool with it. After all, didn't he try to make some peace by apologizing to his former cast and crew at the Emmys and having some one-on-one time with Kutcher?

Oh, wait. Sheen has a new sitcom he's developing. We're sure he'll want Richards for that.
