Angelina Jolie is, once again, proving she's more than just a gorgeous face.

Days after she and her significant other donated a ton of dough on behalf of homeless children in war-torn Somalia, the actress donned her U.N. Goodwill Ambassador hat and made her way to Libya.

So what brings the lovely lady to the troubled country?

"I have come to Libya for a variety of reasons, to see a country in transition at every level and to witness efforts to fully realize the promise of the Arab Spring," Jolie said in a statement to Reuters on Tuesday. "I will be meeting with officials from all sides, but above all, listening to the local people in the street. I am here to express solidarity with them. It is the work of rebuilding and recovery that will determine Libya's future."

While she's never been to Libya before, Jolie did spend time with Libyan refugees earlier this year in Malta.

"The country faces a host of challenges, including displaced people, rule of law, security, sanitation, education, health and other humanitarian needs," she added. "All of these pieces must be delivered and coordinated properly in an environment of reconciliation and justice."
