While he may keep his lips sealed when discussing how gay (or not) his new flick J. Edgar is, Armie Hammer is definitely willing to chat about something.

His new cupcake shop, Bird Bakery, which is the culinary move that Armie—along with his way-pretty wife, Elizabeth Chambers—is making next. (And before you bitch, we're totally kidding. We love a dude who's willing to don an apron and whip something up in the kitchen.)

Plus, his chica seems to be the one running the biz...

"It's nice to have something you can put your hands on and create," Chambers, who is also appearing on a BBC America show where she dives for sunken treasure, tells E! News exclusively.

But this isn't one of those swanky cupcake shops that'll start a cross-town competition with Sprinkles here in Hollyweird (Sprinkles, BTW, is the place in T-town to score your c-cakes).

"San Antonio was the perfect place," Chambers dished about setting up shop down South in Texas. "We spent Thanksgiving there. I was born there. Everyone knows us and the people are so sweet."

The rustic-style treat shop, which will have an opening party Nov. 28 and make its centerfold debut next month in Bon Appetit—will serve not just cupcakes but cookies, coffee cakes, tiramisu, lemon bars, mini pies and local Cuvee coffee and teas.

Um, is anyone else getting hungry? Like, really, really hungry?! Because that sounds just about as delicious as Armie's handsome mug looks.

Chambers tells us exclusively that a lot of the recipes were inspired from her own grandmother's kitchen. For the past several months she has been working on tweaking some of the handed down cake recipes into the perfect cupcakes.

As for Hammer? His official job description is "taster."

"He said last night, ‘If I have to eat one more cupcake for breakfast...' " laughed Chambers.

How adorable! Now tell us about that J. Edgar smooching already, Armie! OK, fine, we'll drop it...for now.
