Wayans' "White Chicks" Rip-Off?

Not everyone's laughing at the Wayans brothers' gender-bending comedy White Chicks.

Four Connecticut men claim the movie is a rip-off of their own script, Johnny Bronx, and have sued the sibs for some big bucks.

The lawsuit, filed last week in U.S. District Court in Bridgeport, accuses Marlon, Shawn and Keenen Ivory Wayans of stealing the idea for White Chicks from the script written by Mario Pittore and twin brothers Jason and Jon Coppola, 29, listed on IMDb as writers-producers.

"Not only does it rip us off, but it's not even as good," Pittore, 30, bragged to the Stamford Advocate.

The suit seeks at least $15 million for the alleged copycat production.

White Chicks stars Marlon and Shawn as FBI agents who go undercover in the Hamptons as white socialite sisters to protect hotel heiresses the Wilsons.

Cowritten and directed by Keenen, the movie's earned decent reviews and has grossed $46.7 million since it opened June 23. It placed third at the box office this weekend.

Johnny Bronx features a bumbling black FBI agent who impersonates a white man to infiltrate the mob.

The Connecticut quartet contend their production shingle, A Slice of Pie Productions, sent a copy of the script to two of the Wayans' reps in the past five years for consideration.

"We were looking to cast Marlon Wayans as the lead," said James Coppola, 35, the company's chief operating officer and the twins' older brother.

Coppola said the company had secured partial funding and was negotiating for more when they found out about the Wayans' project, which effectively scuttled their plans.

Also named in the suit are Revolution Studios, Sony Pictures Entertainment, the Gold/Miller Agency and Gersh Agency.

A spokesperson for Revolution would not comment on the matter; calls to Shawn and Marlon's rep and Sony Pictures were not returned.

Show-biz brothers Marlon, Shawn and Keenen are known for their collaborative family efforts. Most recently, the three worked on Scary Movie and its sequel together. Other joint Wayans productions include Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood and the TV hit In Living Color.

Next up, Keenen will cast outside the family fold, shooting with Eddie Murphy on a remake of the 1975 sci-fi thriller The Incredible Shrinking Man for a 2005 release.
