Next week's theme on The Glee Project is adaptability, and the newest guest mentor is certainly someone who can "roll with the punches."

Kevin McHale has been using a wheelchair on Glee for the past four years while portraying his preachin' alter ego Artie Abrams.  We've got your first look at McHale inspiring the contestants in Tuesday's all-new episode.

Plus, see how the Glee hopefuls react when McHale drops a huge game-changer on their homework assignment

Without a doubt the most excited contestant to meet this week's mentor is Ali. The 24-year-old gushes that she admires McHale's strong commitment to his character: "I'm really excited to see Kevin, because as somebody who uses a wheelchair, I'm always looking to see if he's cheating at all on the show and I've never seen him move his legs!"

McHale explains that adaptability is a very important trait needed as an actor on Glee. "You never know what you're going to get; every day is different and you may show up to work one day thinking it's going to be something and then it completely changes."

For their homework assignment, the class had been preparing to sing Alanis Morissette's "You Oughta Know," but McHale decides to throw the group a curveball and see whether they'll hit or miss. He reveals, "You've been preparing this number as a group number, but you're doing it as a solo. You each have to sing the song by yourself."

While some Gleeks are happy with the new twist, 21-year-old Shanna is missing one important skill needed to sing a song: lyrics. "I'm freaking out right now; I don't actually know the lyrics to the song," Shanna panics. "So I was like, OK, adapt, Shanna, adapt."

Check out the full sneak-peek video above to see how Shanna handles her lack of lyric problems, an endearingly awkward laugh and McHale's critiques of the contestants' solos!

The Glee Project is all-new Tuesday at 10 p.m. on Oxygen
