The wait is almost over, Revenge fans! Your beloved ABC drama finally returns on Wednesday, Jan. 4, and as a belated Christmas/Hanukkah gift, the network has decided to post the first nine minutes of the midseason return online. Wheeee!
So what does the preview reveal? For starters, it will make Nolan (Gabriel Mann) and Emily (Emily VanCamp) fans very happy...
Nolan and Emily are friends again! Kind of! After their falling out in the midseason finale over Nolan's involvement with Tyler, it seems Emily has had a change of heart. Our heroine shows up at the Internet billionaire's pad while he's sunbathing (oh hi, shirtless Nolan!) to offer up an apology...without the whole "I'm sorry" part. Natch, their conversation quickly turns to Tyler, the seemingly eternal thorn (pun fully intended) in Emily's side.
Speaking of the psychopath, the episode starts off with a bang...almost. Tyler crashes Daniel's (Joshua Bowman) birthday party to hold all the guests, including Victoria (Golden Globe nominee Madeleine Stowe), hostage, making his way around the table before landing on Emily. Ruh-roh, our girl's in some serious trouble!
Two days earlier, it seems Tyler is intent on blackmailing Conrad (Henry Czerny) with the footage of Lydia's confession he stole from Nolan. While we may have clapped when Conrad called Tyler "a son of a bitch" (though we have called him much worse), we had to give Holmes a slow clap for his delivery of this gem: "It appears as if you despicable people are finally starting to rub off on me."
Revenge returns Wednesday, Jan. 4, at 10 p.m. on ABC.
