American Idol: This guy claims to have already identified the top 24 Idol contestants for this season. Don't click unless you want to be spoiled and/or have reason to skip the next umpteen weeks of Idol auditions. (Bookmark the link, and we'll circle back to either celebrate or mock this spoiler when the truth comes out.) In related Idol top 24 news, Michael Lynche (who was allegedly one of the final two dozen singers) has been cut from the show after his dad spoiled the news to the St. Petersburg Times.

Plus, which multiple-award-winning TV star is defending a troubled younger colleague?

Law & Order: SVU: Mariska Hargitay says that we shouldn't believe a word of two separate reports in Radar Online and the New York Daily News that Mischa Barton was unable to remember her lines and held up production while filming a guest spot on SVU. And the cosmic karma meter assigns 10 more points to Mariska's account for protecting a young woman's reputation. You are a good woman, Mariska.

Lost: Harold Perrineau says that when Michael returns to Lost, he hopes he gets the chance to apologize to both Walt and Libby for what he did to them.

How I Met Your Mother: HIMYM creators Craig Thomas and Carter Bays have signed a three-year overall deal with Fox that keeps them running Mother for the foreseeable future and that opens the door to additional series development. Congrats, guys!

The Good Wife: Your dad's favorite show (OK, we like it, too) has hired Alan Cumming to play a publicist/image consultant. That show has the most ridiculously excellent casting...

• Pilot News: Joanna Garcia (whom we love) has been cast in a pilot about two sisters from Friends producer (more love) Shana Goldberg-Meehan. Make this show happen, ABC/Warner Brothers! In less good news, Ausiello reports that Rex Is Not Your Lawyer is dunzo at NBC. Rex starred David Tennant, so there is currently a whole world of Doctor Who fans who are fairly unhappy.

• Who Do You Love? According to the Harris Poll, America's top 10 favorite TV personalities are (in order): Oprah Winfrey, Glenn Beck, Jay Leno, Ellen DeGeneres and Hugh Laurie (tied for fourth), Jon Stewart, Charlie Sheen, Mark Harmon, David Letterman and Bill O'Reilly. The poll was conducted before the recent Leno-Coco fracas, so maybe take the late-night host rankings with a grain of salt?

Do you think Mischa Barton deserves Mariska Hargitay's protection? And are you buying the Idol spoilers? Hit the comments!
