Survivor Survives Two More Seasons

The granddaddy of reality television is showing no signs of slowing in its old age.

CBS has ordered up two more seasons of Survivor, bringing the prime-time stalwart's total count to 20 alliance-forming editions.

Both new cycles will air during the 2009-10 TV season, though there's no word yet on where the castaways' basic survival skills will be tested. Emmy-winning ringmaster Jeff Probst will return as host.

"We have a unique relationship with our audience," Probst said. "They tell us what they like and we listen. It's worked for 18 editions and we're looking forward to delivering two more!"

The show has filmed 18 cycles during its nine years on the air. Survivor: Tocantins premiered earlier this month.
