We have a very good feeling that once Smash premieres, people will be as obsessed with it as we are. We've seen the first two episodes, and we're already completely in love with the NBC series based on the making of a Broadway musical.

In this first look at the season premiere (Feb. 6), stars Katharine McPhee and Megan Hilty will rock your world with some musical numbers, while Debra Messing and Christian Borle get the light bulb idea of a lifetime…

In case you haven't heard, Smash revolves around a team of Broadway producers who decide to put together a musical based on Marilyn Monroe and the lucky ladies in contention to be cast in the iconic role. And it all starts with a little suggestion from a lowly assistant.

That suggestion then leads to the idea of a baseball number, which is demonstrated when they try out a director (Jack Davenport). Finally, even though Ivy (Hilty) is the Marilyn lookalike (and she rocks the baseball demo), the girl from Iowa, Karen (McPhee), still manages to enchant at her audition with a rendition of "Beautiful."

Check out the clips below, and tell us how excited you are for NBC's Smash! (NBC and E! are both part of the NBC Universal family).

Smash premieres on NBC after the Super Bowl on Feb. 6.
