Thank heaven for Sister Wives!

As Big Love winds down, the TV powers are prepared to fill the gap in polygamy-related programming and provide us with a fascinating reality substitute for HBO's glossy drama. And never let it be said that reality TV is less twisty than scripted drama, which was proven once again last night when fan-fave third wife Christine broke ranks with her sister wives about the wisdom of their living arrangements.

During the final act of the season premiere, the wives, led by a teary Meri, wept over the havoc that their "coming out" had wrought on their lives and the lives of their children. Three of the wives then testified to the camera that if they had to decide to do it all over again—knowing that their family would be investigated by the district attorney and that husband Kody Brown could go to jail—Meri, Janelle and Robyn all said they would do it again.

Christine, however, demurred. "I don't know," she said. "I don't know." Ten points for honesty, lady! This creative thinking and frank honesty is why we love Christine most, but do her doubts make her a bad sister wife, or even a bad woman? What did you think of the premiere, and more importantly, do you understand the wives' attraction to Kody?
