Nicole Richie Ditches the Blond for Brunette

Over the weekend, Nicole Richie debuted new darker locks at Costa Mesa's Bloomingdale's, where she was promoting her House of Harlow 1960 holiday jewelry collection. "OH! & P.S. I went brunette. I feel smarter already," she tweeted the day of the event.

Between the new hair and curve-hugging L'Wren Scott bustier dress, Nicole looks amazing. It's moments like these when we feel so proud of Nic. 

It seems like just yesterday she was wandering around everywhere looking like a hot mess. Example: a sheer striped jumpsuit (worn braless, of course) at the 2003 Maxim Hot 100 party. An unpleasant reminder of her tumultuous past, yes, but it really makes her recent smoking-hot pictures that much more awesome.
