The couple that gets through a reality show together, stays together. Right?

That's what the new season of The Biggest Loser will try and prove, but in a very twisted way. So what kind of shocking surprise will the teams find once they enter the competition?

When season 13 of The Biggest Loser premieres Jan. 3, the teams of two—including mother-daughter, father-son, brother-sister and husband-wife, will find out they not only will they be split up...they'll be competing against the person they came with! Biggest Loser is calling this cycle the season of  "No Excuses." Ominous, no?

The contestants will start with a three-part challenge as soon as they arrive at the ranch, and after they are divided, the two groups of players will be trained by Bob Harper and Dolvett Quince to go after the $250,000 grand prize.

Season 13 of The Biggset Loser begins Jan. 3 on NBC.

What do you guys think of this season's twist?
