Jane Lynch Spills: Matthew Morrison Will Be a "Baldy" at Emmys!

Say so long to Will Schuester's luscious, golden "briar patch" locks! 

You've no doubt heard the rumors that Matthew Morrison will be shaving his head in the upcoming Britney Spears-themed episode of Glee, and so, through sobs of agony over the impending loss of such a gorgeous mane, we checked in with Jane Lynch, who tells us this about buzz kill:

"Matthew hasn't shaved his head yet," she teased, thinking her next words over very carefully. "But it's going to be gone...probably before the Emmys."

Nooo! Say it aint' so. (That means August 29, for those not up on the showbiz schedule.) And with that cute Jane Lynch-y wink of hers, she added: "He'll be a baldy!"

OK, before you freak out, we have one more teensy bit of info to pass along regarding the haircut hullabaloo: A Glee casting notice went out July 28 for a Mr. Schue body (or hair!) double, which read: "Must be willing to shave your head on camera."

So...Matthew's not cutting his hair?! Someone else is and then Matt will be fitted with a bald cap? Maybe?! Or perhaps this is all part of those Britney ep hallucinations the show runners talked about at Comic-Con. 

Ugh, who knows. Ryan Murphy and Co. are far too tricky (and brilliant!) to try and decipher. But we will say this: When Jane gave us that all-knowing wink, it was both very blatant, but her baldy delivery was pretty serious. Damn you, Jane!

Now for the important question: If Will really does shave his head, what will happen to all of Sue Sylvester's zingers, like this one:

"Your hair looks like a briar patch. I keep expecting racist, animated Disney characters to pop up and start singing about living on the bayou"

Or this little gem: ""I don't trust a man with curly hair. I can't help picturing small birds laying sulfurous eggs in there, and I find it disgusting."

Either way, we're sure they'll find a way to pull a Tim Gunn and make it work!
