Hells, Yeah! Reaper Is Back
You gotta love the little guy who's up for a big fight, right?
Well tonight, the CW's Reaper is coming back with guns (or as the case may be, a cattle prod) blaring, in the hopes of becoming one of the only sophomore series to survive a strike-riddled freshman season and the current ratings-challenged TV climate.
(And we fans are really hoping this series doesn't go the way of Pushing Daisies and Eli Stone. Honestly, TV suits, there is only so much bloodshed we can take!)
The good new is that tonight's first episode back is full of everything we fans loved about Reaper in season one. Devilishly awesome one-liners? Check. Fun plot twists? Check. Laugh-out-loud "Sock" moments? Check. (By the way, he's now pulling a Dave Annable from Brothers & Sisters and falling in love with his "sister," which you can see in the clip below.)
What's that? You've never even seen this series? Well, all you need to know is...
Nothing. Unlike mind-bendy mythology series like Heroes or Lost, you can follow Reaper just fine without having seen a single episode before.
Still, in case you're curious: Reaper is about a guy named Sam (Bret Harrison) whose parents sold his soul to the devil, and now he has to collect escaped souls and send them back to hell. And, oh yeah, we learned last season that Sam's father is actually the devil.
