Gleeks, better start making alternative plans for this summer, because sources confirm to us that the Glee Live! In Concert! tour has been canceled for 2012.

So what's the story behind the scrapped show?

A Glee spokesman tells The Hollywood Reporter, who first reported the story: "We currently have no plans of touring the cast this summer." Instead, the cast will have the summer off. And because the Glee gang often works 16-hour days all season, we don't blame Fox for wanting to give them a break.

But Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Naya Rivera and Co. might possibly do one concert stop: the Hollywood Bowl. According to THR, Glee producers are hoping to have a one-night benefit concert to raise money for Give a Note, an arts education charity.

Ryan Murphy said in the beginning of Glee's third season that he was working to make sure his cast gets more days off and more breaks, so this might be another way Murphy is seeing to that.

Last year, the Glee concert tour grossed more than $40 million, making it the 16th most successful tour of 2011.

What do you think, Gleeks? Bummed to not get a tour this summer? Or happy to see the cast get some time off?
