Fans of critically acclaimed quirky comedies can rest easy today. President of FX John Landgraf announced pickups for Wilfred, Louie and It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

Always Sunny got a two-year pickup (through 2013), making it the longest running comedy series in basic-cable history. Wilfred's second season will consist of 13 episodes, and ditto for Louie's third season....

We asked Jason Gann about possibly getting a renewal for Wilfred when we ran into him at last night's Fox TCA party, but he was being a dodgy little minx about it. "[Can] you please tell me they're going to annouce the second season tomorrow?" he demanded. What? Like we ever know anything? Finally, he sort of relented and only said in regards to a renewal: "I hope so."

You got your wish, dog.

Landgraf also spoke on Ryan Murphy's new "psycho-sexual" thriller American Horror Story, claiming that it's designed to go on for more than one season, with some seasons possibly going back into the past. AHS panel is happening later this morning, so check back for updates from Murphy himself!
