One thing is clear in all universes: Fringe knows how to put on a good season finale.

Last season wiped the slate clean of Peter, but this season finale killed a beloved character. What does this crazy killing mean for Fringe's fifth and final season? And who had a bombshell of an announcement in the season finale? Find out now:

WHAT WE LEARNED

Bell is Back: While watching this episode, we got to put our Irish Literature knowledge to good use. William Bell (Leonard Nimoy) is back and is one crazy Yeats-quoting scientist. He kidnaps Walter (John Noble) to lure Olivia (Anna Torv) and use her as a weapon to collapse both universes. Nice guy. But Walter plays the trump card and kills Olivia.

Olivia Observations: Wait! What? Yep, Olivia dies. The Observer was right, in every version Olivia had to die. Fortunately she has so much fancy cortexiphan coursing though her veins that after a little impromptu surgery she's going to be OK. It was a little dicey there for a minute, though.  Another fun fact we learned: If Peter (Joshua Jackson) cries, we cry.

Peter, I'm Pregnant: After finding out that Olivia will be just fine, she drops a baby bombshell on Peter. Yay! And to think he just wanted them to move in together. We are actually screaming on the inside. We definitely have a goofy smile just like Peter's. Awwww.

Rewind Moment: How amazing was Rebecca Mader? Seriously badass alive. Plus, she was seriously creepy reanimated. We wish we could keep her. But maybe not while she does that insane eye-roll thing.

Rewind Moment #2: When Walter slaps Peter.

Who Are Coming?: When Walter is trying to relax after a busy day, another Observer comes to warn him that "they are coming." Um, that sounds very ominous and a perfect setup for the next season. Fringe's fifth and final season is poised to rock. With a Bishop-Dunham baby on the way, William Bell in the wind and Olivia still acting as an energy source, we can't wait to see what's in store for season five.
