It's the one case the team at Breaking In just couldn't crack.

Fox has officially pulled the sophmore comedy starring Christian Slater from its Tuesday night line-up for the rest of the season and will instead be offering up a double dose of freshman standout New Girl.

Sadly, this isn't the first time Breaking In has been brutally rebuffed by the network...

Last May, Fox canceled the then-freshman series, but quickly changed their minds and brought it back at midseason, this time bringing in Megan Mullally to spice things up.

Unfortunately, Breaking In was unable to connect with viewers a year later, with the latest episode bringing in 2.6 million viewers and a 1.3 rating in the demo.

Breaking In was supposed to return from hiatus on April 24, but the three remaining episodes of the season have been yanked from the schedule, with Fox saying they "will air at a later date."

Are you sad to see Breaking In cut short...again? Sounds off in the comments!
