Fall TV Cheat Sheet: Find Out What to Watch or Skip, Super Quick!

After reading our exhaustive list of fall TV reviews, we bet you're saying to yourself: "Self, I wish I had all of this vitally important information in one place!"

Fall's Five Best New Series

5. Once Upon a Time (ABC, Oct. 23): Badass Jennifer Morrison is the only hope to save a town full of fairy-tale characters including long lost amnesiac parents Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Josh Dallas). This cross-dimensional adventure is full of dark and fantastical whimsy that makes us wish for more right now.

4. Hart of Dixie (CW, Sept. 26): A charming throwback to the WB days of yesteryear, HoD stars Rachel Bilson as Dr. Zoe Hart, a gifted surgeon who moves to a small town in Alabama and encounters quirky characters and handsome men (Scott Porter and Wilson Bethel). Prepare to feel an uncontrollable need to huge your television. 

3. Grimm (NBC, Oct. 21): Another fairy-tale-based series, with one major difference: Grimm will scare the bejeezus out of you. Dave Giuntoli (one of our new TV crushes) stars as Nick Burckhardt, a detective who learns he's a descendant of supernatural hunters known as "Grimms." It's like Supernatural meets Buffy.

2. American Horror Story (FX, Oct. 5): While Ryan Murphy's new show may not be for everyone, it's definitely for us. Take Connie Britton (Tami Taylor, y'all!), hook her up with Dylan McDermott and stick them in haunted house and you've got yourself a recipe for magic. Warning: It may be the scariest sh-t to hit television in a very, very long time.

1. New Girl (Fox, Sept. 20): Adorable Zooey Deschanel being all adorable on our TV screens every week? See, dreams do come true!

As you very well know, we asked readers to weigh in all of the new series, giving you the option to vote watch, DVR or skip for each show. Here's what you guys thought of our top five picks: 69.5% will be watching Once Upon a Time, 61.9% will be watching Hart of DIxie, 50.8% will be watching Grimm, 60% will be watching American Horror Story while a whopping 78% of you said you'll be watching New Girl. Grimm scored the most DVR votes (36.2%) and American Horror Story had the highest amount of skip votes (15.4%).

Honorary Mentions:

• 2 Broke Girls (CBS, Sept. 19): Kat Dennings as a smartass waitress who rips into hipsters in New York City? Yeah, we're totally in!
• A Gifted Man (CBS, Sept. 23): We thank you, CBS, for the gift that is the handsome and talented Patrick Wilson on our TV screens. And come on, who doesn't love a supernatural thriller/haunted love story/medical mystery of the week series?
• Enlightened (HBO, Oct. 10): This dramedy starring Laura Dern is a gorgeously filmed, perfectly written and flawlessly performed masterpiece. We swear HBO didn't pay us (or buy us any drinks) for this review!
• Homeland (Showtime, Oct. 2): This spine-tingling drama brings Claire Danes back to TV and that's not even the best part! By the end of the pilot, you'll be dying to know what happens next.
• Pan Am (ABC, Sept. 25): Escapist fun with compelling characters thousands of feet in the air. You'll want to fly the friendly skies with this '60s drama.
• Person of Interest (CBS, Sept. 22): Come on, it's J.J. Abrams and Michael Emerson. The Dark Knight scribe Jonathan Nolan is just icing on the cake.
• Revenge (ABC, Sept. 21): Girl next door, no more! Emily VanCamp takes on the role of a less-homicidal, female Dexter Morgan in this stylish and sexy new soap. It's your new favorite guilty pleasure. Trust. 
• Ringer (CW, Tuesdays): Double the Sarah Michelle Gellar, double the fun! Plus, lots of hunky men. Sure, the pilot has some flaws, but it also shows potential for greatness. 
• The Secret Circle (CW, Thursdays): Vampire Diaries fans will totally sink their teeth into this witchy teen drama from Kevin Williamson and Andrew Miller. Hot people, supernatural abilities, love triangles, this show's got it all.
• Suburgatory (ABC, Sept. 23): Jeremy Sisto and Jane Levy make for an awesome father-daughter pairing in this Juno meets Mean Girls comedy.
• Up All Night (NBC, Wednesdays): Oh, Show. You had us at Christina Applegate, Will Arnett and Maya Rudolph. Add an adorable baby into the mix and it's impossible to resist.

Set Yo DVRs:

• Free Agents (NBC, Sept. 19): A relatable workplace comedy starring one helluva talented cast (Hank Azaria, Kathryn Hahn and Anthony Head).
• Last Man Standing (ABC, Oct. 11): Tim Allen's Home Improvement just got Freaky Friday'd. Instead of three boys, Allen's got three girls in this comedy about a father attempting to maintain his manliness. It's not awesome, it's not awful, it's just coasting down the middle lane.
• Man Up! (ABC, Oct. 18): We weren't blown away by Teri Polo's new comedy, but it has some Modern Family-like qualities to warrant a few more viewings before making a final cut.
• The Playboy Club (NBC, Sept. 19): Thanks to great performances by Amber Heard and Laura Benanti, we'll definitely be checking into this '60s club on a weekly basis.
• Prime Suspect (NBC, Sept. 25): Despite overt sexism in the pilot, this cop drama is worth checking out, especially for the crazy good Maria Bello.
  
• Terra Nova (Fox, Sept. 26): Our advice to you before watching this prehistoric adventure series from Steven Spielberg? Lower your expectations. Also: Yay Dinosaurs! 
• Whitney (NBC, Sept. 22): We love Whitney Cummings, and you'll either love or hate her new relationship comedy right away. Definitely worth a first look.

The Pass List:

• How to Be a Gentleman (CBS, Sept. 29): These talented actors (Kevin Dillon, David Hornsby, Dave Foley, Mary Lynn Rajskub and Rhys Darby) deserve better than this mostly unfunny "prude meets dude" sitcom. 
• Unforgettable (CBS, Sept. 20): It's easy. Just take the "un" out of the title and you have the perfect description for this procedural starring Poppy Montgomery.
