Desperate Housewives Final Season: The Ladies Say Goodbye to Wisteria Lane

Desperate Housewives is ending its eight-season run this year, so it's time to say goodbye to Eva Longoria, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and the rest of the cast. When we chatted with the D.H. crew at their final season party, things got emotional pretty quickly. And not just on our end!

Plus, the ladies have always fought rumors about if they're really friends with each other offset, so will they actually miss each other after the final take is done?

"I felt the tears welling up," Cross says to us. "It's been a long ride. I think it's really bittersweet. It really feels like it should be the end so I don't feel like it's the wrong time, but it's definitely kind of sad."

"I think it was shocking at first for me when we got the news," Huffman admits. "And then because ABC treated it so respectfully and gave you nine months of warning so we could really end the show properly, I sort of forgot about it. It's an intellectual exercise remembering it's our last year because the day-to-day experiences are the way it's been for eight years."

For Longoria, that intellectual exercise includes getting used to the weekends without the iconic Wisteria Lane.

"Sunday nights will be forever changed," she tells us. "I wonder what they're going to do with the street. This is the most beautiful set I've ever been apart of and the people and the family we've created too it's just going to be bittersweet to say goodbye."

And forget about those catfight stories you hear, because Cross insists that D.H. has brought her nothing but good memories and that she will "always" stay friends with the cast. "I have a feeling it's going to be like my childhood friends that I can see or not see for any length of time and then when I see them, it's like a moment hasn't past," she says. "It's like that kind of a bond now."

Have you accepted the end of Desperate Housewives yet? Or is still sinking in?
