Brothers & Sisters: Rob Lowe's Gonna Make You Cry

Brothers and Sisters ABC/SCOTT GARFIELD

Tune-in alert! If you're a Brothers & Sisters fan (and you should be), you should know that Sunday's two-hour episode a huge deal—and a literal heartbreaker.

Major stuff goes down with Rob Lowe's character Robert McCallister, and the much-discussed medical crisis that happens simultaneously with the birth of his and Kitty's (Calista Flockhart) new kid is just the beginning.

McCallister's brush with death means he faces a fork in the road of his life and a ton of major emotion to go with it, and sources tell me this ep is definitely an Emmy submission for Lowe. From what I'm hearing, we're all going to cry our eyes out during the course of Sunday's two-hour event.

Exactly what goes down? Check out the sneak peeks and a spoiler bonus below:

Spoiler Bonus: As Kitty says in the first sneak above, Kitty and Robert have been having a lot of misunderstandings lately. Unfortunately, by the end of the episode, misunderstandings will be tactful code for giant, devastating blowup. Things are about to get very, very heated for Mr. and Mrs. McCallister. Can they pull through?

Tune in to Brothers & Sisters on Sunday at 9 p.m. to find out.
