Awesome Alert: Veronica Mars' Jason Dohring to Guest Star on Supernatural!

There's really only one word to describe this casting news: Epic.
Veronica Mars alum and current Ringer guest star Jason Dohring is lending his talents to another CW hit series: Supernatural. Yes, that's right. Logan Echolls is going to be sharing the small screen with Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) Winchester. It's almost too good to be true, right?
So who is Dohring playing? And what does this mean for his character on Ringer?

Talk about a divine role!
TVLine reports Dohring will be playing Chronos, the God of Time, in Supernatural's 12th episode, which is currently scheduled to air in mid-January. According to Greek mythology, Chronos is usually depicted as an old man with a beard, so we're curious to see what exactly the show is going to do with the deity.
Don't worry, Ringer fans, Dohring's Mr. Carpenter isn't going anywhere: We've been told the Moonlight actor will be appearing on the show throughout the first season, so there's plenty more Dohring-goodness to come.
Supernatural airs Fridays at 9 p.m. on the CW.
