Big surprise: Joshua Ledet is going on tour this summer!

Well, considering Percy Sledge himself emailed American Idol to say how much he loved Joshua's cover of "When a Man Loves a Woman" on last night's show, it would have been rather shocking if the 19-year-old powerhouse had not made the top 10 and scored himself a slot on the American Idols Live tour.

But what of the rest of the finalists? Some of last week's standouts didn't perform as well this week, and if they were hoping that Jermaine Jones' disqualification would somehow exempt them from getting the boot...

They were wrong. And, to those of you who are thinking a girl might finally win this season after four years of male American Idols...feel free to reassure the all-girl bottom three.

She may have bounced Steven Tyler's reality check at one point, but 16-year-old Shannon Magrane bid American Idol adieu tonight after perhaps taking on a little much with Mariah Carey's "One Sweet Day."

"You guys have been so loyal to me, and so honest to me...this has just felt so good," Shannon told the judges in appreciation.

Despite her performance of "Let's Stay Together" that the usually spot-on Jimmy Iovine categorized as mind-blowing, the voters again failed to connect with Elise Testone, unhappily in the bottom three for the second straight week.

And the judges were confused too, questioning why she was there after a pitch-perfect performance.

"Very strange, this is," observed Randy Jackson.

Erika Van Pelt also had to pay her dues for the second week in a row (or third, considering she was a wild card in the first place), but, for now—and this summer—she's safe.

In addition to Elise, Erika and Joshua, rounding out the top 10 are Phillip Phillips, Colton Dixon, Hollie Cavanagh, Jessica Sanchez, Deandre Brackensick, Heejun Han and Sklyar Laine.

Is this the lineup you wanted to see this summer? And why isn't America connecting with Elise or Erika? Let us know what you think in the comments!
