File this under: hell, yes! American Horror Story's season-one stand out guest star, Zachary Quinto, has signed on for season two!

He'll be joining Jessica Lange, who's also confirmed for another season of FX's horror hit. What's the story on his role?

The Star Trek star has signed on for season two of American Horror Story as one of the male leads, E! News confirms. In season one he had a brief (four-episode) but memorable arc, and we've been wishing and hoping that Quinto would be one of the three returning cast members. Sometimes dreams really do come true.

According to reports, Quinto will be a nemesis to Lange's character. As show mastermind Ryan Murphy said before, all returning season-one actors will be in completely new roles. The only other detail out about AHS' super-secret second season is that it'll take place on the East Coast in a horror institution. We're betting a mental hospital, but we'll probably find out for sure tonight at Paley Fest.

This casting news couldn't come soon enough because we've been dying for Z.Q. to come back to AHS. We even bothered Quinto way back in the beginning of December about doing another season, and he only offered this: "Talk to Ryan Murphy!"

Apparently our threatning voicemails finally got through to R.M. Thank you for making one of the items on our TV Christmas wishlist a reality.

What do you think about Quinto returning as a series regular? Only one slot left for a season-one castmember...who do you think is coming back?
