Good news for Knocked Up fans: Judd Apatow's hilarious 2007 comedy is getting a sequel—kind of.

Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann, who played Katherine Heigl's in-laws in Knocked Up, are reprising their roles on the silver screen. In the "sort-of-sequel" to Knocked Up, Rudd and Mann's characters cope with the fact that they're getting older—and it's not always pretty. Apatow and Mann's real-life children, Maude and Iris Apatow, reprise their roles in the film, and Jason Segel and Melissa McCarthy are also featured in the trailer.

So will Heigl and her onscreen baby daddy Seth Rogen be back for this sort-of-sequel?

Nope.

Apatow confirmed on Twitter that Heigl and Rogen's characters will not be mentioned in the movie. He explained, "That story is for another time." (We do, eventually, need to see how that kid turned out.)

This Is 40 hits theaters Dec. 21.
