Will Ferrell isn't one of your typical Hollywood douchebags. He isn't going to just spout out some generic lines about how great someone is, especially if that person is his longtime friend Amy Poehler.

Amy was honored at Variety's Power of Comedy event, and who better to introduce the night's star than Ferrell. But it's quickly evident the funnyguy could use some help from a Teleprompter...

"I just want to speak from the heart about tonight's recipient, who is such a special individual," Will says. "This person's so great...such a great person...I totally forget their name..."

Hey, it happens to the best of us. But it seems some backstage activity may have contributed to his forgetfulness. Fortunately, after some prompting from the crowd and going through an assortment of potential honorees (Cagney and Lacey's Sharon Gless, Jerry Lewis), he lands on the right name, and really, when it comes to a friendship as deep as the one between these two stars of comedy, it's a touching tribute to their bond.
