If you thought Ryan Reynolds looked gorgeous in Green Lantern (and, really, when does he not?), well, there's a good reason.
And that is?
Well, as much as we'd say it probably just comes naturally, we'll let the hunky guy speak for himself.
"I was very fortunate to be given a great deal of prep for this movie, so I just cleared my schedule for, like, eight or nine months and worked primarily on just getting ready for the role," the actor says during this exclusive look at behind-the-scenes footage featured on the film's Blu-ray/DVD release on Friday.
We learn that Ry's regimen involved hitting the gym six days a week with a trainer, which, upon seeing some of the stuntwork he had to endure, was probably a smart thing.
"A lot of gymnastics, which is something I don't necessarily recommend to anyone over 6 feet," he points out. "I fell on my face a whole lot of times before I started to land some of those crazy moves."
Fell on his face? Thankfully, there doesn't appear to be any lasting damage—not by a long shot.
