It was only a matter of time.

A week after he left everyone wondering what the heck happened in the Hamptons, Usher tied the knot Friday with his pregnant girlfriend, Tameka Foster.

"I exchanged vows with Tameka Foster in Atlanta on Friday and we are happily married," Usher said in a statement.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the R&B star and Foster swapped vows in the office of Usher's Atlanta lawyer, a decidedly more low-key affair than the lavish, star-studded shindig they had planned for July 28 at the New York home of music mogul L.A. Reid.

The sudden cancellation led to widespread speculation that the betrothed duo, or at least one of them, were having second thoughts, but several days later Foster confirmed that she had had a "pregnancy scare" for which she had to be hospitalized briefly, and her fiancé assured inquiring minds that their intentions had not changed.

"As of right now we don't have a date but we will let you know when we do," the Confessions singer told Us Weekly earlier this week.

Those in the know Friday included Usher's mom and ex-manager, Jonetta Patton, who had reportedly disapproved of the engagement and was trying to ensure that the couple entered into an iron-clad prenup.

All differences were put aside for at least one day, however, because Patton was by her son's side for the "I do's," per the Sun-Times.

Usher, 28, and Foster, 37, who announced their engagement in February after about a year and a half of dating, are expecting their first child together this fall.
