Update: Nic's rep has contacted E! News to deny the story: "Nicole Kidman is most certainly not having her father deliver her child, that is absurd! As your item points out, he is a mental health specialist, not a medical doctor."

The Australian press is speculating that Nicole's father, Anthony, will be delivering her baby with the help of his wife, Janelle, a trained nurse.
He's a mental health specialist, not a trained medical doctor, but according to the newspaper, that didn't stop him from birthing the fourth child of his other daughter, Antonia, last year. (A claim denied by Nicole's rep.)
According to medical experts, this isn't encouraged. (Um, duh?!) And we agree. For the love of heavy drugs (as Perez Hilton pointed out, would he be able to give her an epidural?) and round-the-clock care, a medical doctor should be involved.
But according to the latest word from Nic's rep, it sounds like all systems are a go for a traditional delivery.
