Uma Thurman Disengages From Fiancé

Actress and Swiss financier beau call it quits year and a half after confirming betrothal

Uma Thurman's fiancé won't be putting a ring on it anytime soon.

A year and a half after getting engaged to Swiss financier Arpad "Arki" Busson, and eight months after the duo was rumored to have quietly walked down the aisle, Thurman and her beau have officially uncoupled.

So far, there's no official word on the split from the star's reps, but a source close to the actress let slip their single news.

"She has ended her engagement, it happened over two months ago," they told E! News. "They remain friends."

Of course they do.

Those closely following the relationship between the New York-based 39-year-old mother of two (from Ethan Hawke) and the London-based 46-year-old father of two (from Elle Macpherson) may not be too surprised.

Just this fall, Thurman said marriage wasn't exactly a top priority.

"I'm happily engaged, but we haven't set a wedding up," she told W. "I'm not in a rush to do anything. One day we'll do it when we're ready. We can't live anywhere else because my children's father lives here. We'll figure it out."

Guess this is the result of their figuring.
