Given all the problems plaguing his Broadway show Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, reports of Bono being hospitalized due to heart palpitations didn't sound too terribly surprising.
Fortunately, though, a rep for the U2 frontman insists all those rumors are false.

U2's Bono: Rock Star and...Hot Hollywood Hitchhiker!
Next time you see a hitchhiker on the side of the road, you may want to stop. It could be Bono!
While in Vancouver for a concert earlier this week, the U2 rocker and his assistant got stranded in a downpour during a leisurely walk and were forced to bum a ride from a stranger.
The lucky passerby? NHL star Gilbert Brule, who was driving by with his girlfriend, Kelsey Nichols.
According to a source, Bono thankfully hopped into the hockey player's truck before giving both Brule and Nichols autographed passes to his Wednesday night Vancouver show.
During the concert, Bono announced to fans, "I like ice hockey because people who play ice hockey are the kind of people who pick up hitchhikers."
But that's not all the celeb sightings we have for you. Read on for who Jake Gyllenhaal was spotted on a movie date with...
Magnificent! U2 360° Tour Is the Biggest Ever
Call it the Unforgettable road show.
U2's 360° tour easily blew past the record revenue raked in by the Rolling Stones' Bigger Bang jaunt from a few years ago to offically become the highest-grossing trek of all time.
If only Bono and The Edge could do half as well with Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark!
Ke$ha Nixes Japan Tour; Lauper, Ne-Yo Soldier On
With Japan still reeling from a devastating earthquake, tsunami and ongoing nuclear crisis, Ke$ha is taking her Sleazy act elsewhere.
The "Tick Tock" singer has postponed an upcoming tour of the country as it recovers from the catastrophe, announcing on her website that her intentionally shocking stage routine would have been off-putting given what the Japanese are currently dealing with.
Yeah, we guess a stunt like drinking blood is probably not a good idea.
Broadway's Spider-Man Latest Supervillain: N.Y. Department of Labor
Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark needs to turn up the safety measures.
After being delayed from its official opening three times, a leading lady dropping out and a stuntman landing in the hospital, the troubled Broadway musical has now been smacked with two safety violations by the New York State Department of Labor, per the The New York Times.
So what happens now?
U2 Debuts Spider-Man Song in Concert
Surprise! U2 has a new Boy. The Irish quartet debuted a song from the oft-delayed but hotly anticipated Broadway musical extravaganza Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark in concert in Portugal over the weekend.
Written by Bono and the Edge, "Boy Falls From the Sky" showcases that epic U2 sound (and also recalls their contribution to the big screen Batman Forever with "Hold Me, Kiss Me, Thrill Me, Kill Me").
Directed by Julie Taymor (Broadway's The Lion King), Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark begins previews Nov. 14 at the Foxwoods Theatre and opens Dec. 21.
First Look at Broadway's U2-Powered Spider-Man
It hasn't even opened yet, but Broadway's Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark's already got our Spidey senses you-know-what.

In a word: wow!
Bono: "Rebuilt By German Engineering," Ready to Hit the Road
U2's full billing can only mean good things for Bono's bill of health.
The group announced in a video message on their site this morning that Bono, new and improved in the wake of his original tour-canceling spinal injury and resulting surgery, was once again ready to hit the road.
"I'm ready, rebuilt by German engineering," Bono said. "Better design, I'm told."
Bono Walks On—to French Riviera—After Spinal Surgery
Good news. Bono is back on his feet.
The U2 singer stepped out in public for the first time since last month's emergency spinal surgery that led to the scuttling of the band's upcoming 360-Degree Tour.
Bono, who hit the big 5-0 last month, was spotted in the ancient Mediterranean village of Eze sur Mer along the French Riviera, where he's been recuperating at a posh villa he owns there. According to the U.K.'s Daily Mirror, Bono drove himself to a lunch date at the Hotel La Voile d'Or in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat before meeting some friends later.
