Hairspray costars and good pals Zac Efron and Brittany Snow attended Audi and J. Mendel's kickoff party of Golden Globes Week at Cecconi's last night in West Hollywood—and the duo hung close all night.
So close, in fact, that despite Efron's very public makeout sesh with Vanessa Hudgens over the weekend, reports claim Zac and Brittany's friendship might be something more.

Zac and Brittany have been buds for a while. And Efron is supertight with Brittany's ex (and totally adorable) boyfriend Ryan Rottman (they are are very on/off, by the way).
Basically, file this rumor under slow news day.
So what is the latest on Zac's love life?
He spent the weekend with Vanessa and was acting very much like a boyfriend when they were together at the Eden opening in Hollywood on Friday. But we're not hearing they are officially back together just yet.
"They are like any normal couple," explains a source close to V and Z. "They still really care about each other, but their jobs are going to be keeping them apart for a while."
Zac just wrapped The Lucky One and Vanessa has jetted off to film her latest flick.
"I think they will for sure get back together, but they are practical about the situation," adds the insider. "It's better to take it slow than rush back into things when they could end up hurting each other."
