Word on the street is the "Born This Way" singer has been given the honor of becoming the godmother to Elton John and David Furnish's newborn son, Zachary.

So, is Gaga really hearing a lot of "goo-goo, ga-ga" these days? Hold on to your meat dresses, folks, this rumor is...

Gaga confirmed the exciting news when the subject came up during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today.

"Congratulations, if this indeed true, that you are the godmother to David and Elton's new little boy," said DeGeneres.

"Yes, that is true," Gaga happily replied.

John and Furnish, themselves, also put the rumors to rest last week when they revealed to Barbara Walters on 20/20 that Gaga now plays a very important part in their 4-month-old's life.

"Yes, yes she is," John said. "When you get to the real person under there, there's a real simple person under there who loves her parents."

"Zachary's going to inherit an incredible musical legacy from his father one day," added Furnish. "She will be a good person to guide him through the ins and outs of the music business, 'cause she sure knows everything about the business now."

Not to mention, between his father and godmother, Zack is going to inherit one heck of a wardrobe!
