So True? So False? Is Gwyneth Paltrow Really Growing Salvia?!

It may be time to get Scotland Yard on the case. Or Miley Cyrus.

Gwyneth Paltrow's weekly GOOP newsletter is almost never without controversy, and last week's edition was no exception—although instead of the usual critics burbling over with calls of unacknowledged privilege and pretention (note to haters: it's probably time to get over your Gwynnie indignation. Or at least direct it at more worthwhile causes…like her fashion choices), this month's gardening tip-laden issue had more than a few people people scratching their heads.

Because there, nestled rather prominently among a diagrammed photo of Paltrow's own London garden, was a curiously, and clearly, labeled herb: salvia.

Uh…say what now? Sure, she's married to a rocker (albeit a rather mellow one), but could Gwyneth really be growing (and smoking) the sweet stuff? Someone grab a bag of macrobiotic munchies, because this rumor is…

So true!

Didn't see that one coming, did you? Although, there is a caveat—so Miley might not want to book a trip to London just yet.

While there's no getting around the fact that Gwyneth put the picture out there for all the world to see, the label, while accurate, is a bit misleading.

You see (now's the time to get those pretention horns ready), unlike how she did with the other greens in her garden, the cookbook author decided to label that particular herb by its Latin moniker.

In fact, perhaps you know salvia officinalis by its more common name: sage.

Case closed. Here's hoping that ticket was refundable, Miles.
