If we had known Eva Longoria and Eduardo Cruz were this serious, we would have thought twice before leaving them off our list of Steamiest Summer Hookups.
In any case, it may be less than a year since Eva split from ex-hubby Tony Parker, but that hasn't stopped the rumor mill from rushing her down the aisle again, this time by Star magazine, who claimed that Eduardo popped the question to Eva back in July while yachting through the Mediterranean alongside his sister Penélope Cruz and her hubby Javier Bardem.
And more importantly, they claim that Eva said yes! (Though who wouldn't, given those circumstances.)
But is it true? Is Eva really ready to swap vows with her beau of roughly nine months? Ay dios mio! This rumor is…

So false! As if they'd keep a secret like that quiet for two months!
Longoria's publicist has denied that there is any truth to the report of an engagement, despite Star's rather detailed (and apparently, creative) account of their would-be private moment.
An anonymous source was quoted by the mag, saying that after Cruz proposed, the duo even jumped in the water together to mark the occasion.

Unfortunately for Star, that pits their current issue at a big old 0-2. Bear in mind, it's within this magazine's same pages that proclaimed Will and Kate were expecting twins, which, needless to say, is also not true.
And, just in case there were any lingering doubts, Eva and Eduardo were spotted dining in Los Angeles last night—with no ring in sight.
