When it comes to his work ethic, Nick Carter is a total pro.

After the recent  death of his sister Leslie Carter, the Backstreet Boy promised to push through with his tour.

Indeed, Carter hit the stage the following night and dedicated a heartfelt song to her.

Now comes word that the singer has canceled the rest of his tour to properly grieve, and that he performed his last show in Columbus, Ohio, yesterday.

So false. A rep for Carter tells us that the final day of his tour was always scheduled for last Sunday.

Rumors of family tensions bubbled up when Carter famously missed his sister's funeral, but the singer insisted that professional obligations kept him from attending.

He did allude to family issues, though. In a statement to E! News, he said, "I wanted to be at my sister's funeral, but my family has always had a complicated dynamic."

At his first show following his sister's death, Carter mounted an emotional performance of his ballad "Falling Down," which he dedicated to Leslie and which left many in the audience in tears.
