This Is Why You Don't Mess With Ellen DeGeneres...

Ellen and Portia DeGeneres can take their security crew off high alert.

The woman caught prowling on their property last month pleaded no contest today to misdemeanor trespassing, and if she wants to stay out of jail, she's got to stay far, far away from Casa DeGeneres.

Following her plea, Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel barred Karen Grace Sjoden from any contact with "either Mrs. DeGeneres"—which covers their home and the NBC studio where Ellen's show tapes, according to the D.A.'s office. Sjoden, 50, was also placed on three years' probation.

The woman was arrested and detained by Beverly Hills police on Feb. 10 after she was found snooping around the back yard of couple's property at 5 a.m.

Following today's plea deal she will be free once again. She must check in with Revel every 60 days and cannot go within 100 yards of the couple or a DeGeneres staffer named Michael Hathaway.

"You can't email them, have a friend contact them and you can't have third party contact with them," Revel warned Sjoden, who must return to court May 16 for a progress report.

There was no immediate comment from Team Ellen, but we're sure they're doing their happy dance with the news.
