Watch out, Taylor Lautner, you had better keep those Twilight abs in shape if you're hanging with writer Dustin Lance Black.
Apparently Black, the scribe behind the upcoming Leonardo DiCaprio flick J. Edgar has no qualms commenting on his leading man's figure and even playfully took a little dig at Leo's transformation in the film.
So, what's Black got to say and why is his admission the perfect Oscar-winning strategy?
"Some of those pounds on later Hoover were not prosthetic...I'll say it. Leo got a little fat," revealed Black in a DiCaprio profile from the New York Times.
How très intriguing, no? We know J.Edgar is rumored to be Leo's Oscar-winning role, and we first suspected a little gay in the flick might help the film earn some Oscar love (à la Sean Penn in Milk).
After all, there has been a lot of speculation over Leo's kissing scene with Armie Hammer, and even the fact that the FBI feared the "gay-factor" in the flick. Plus, the film's director, Clint Eastwood, has been super-busy stirring the same-sex pot, too, with cryptic quotes like, "Whether [Hoover] was gay remains to be seen."
But not all actors bring home Oscar glory simply from a little same-sex action—so, if being gay-for-pay doesn't rake in the Oscar love, what's the next best solution?
A physical transformation, of course!
Just look at Robert De Niro in Raging Bull or George Clooney in Syriana—two actors who literally gave the Academy more to love.
But perhaps we're being a little too hard on Leo. We know the dude has major dedication to the role (and his model girlfriends, for that matter).
