Come on, you know you're guilty of driving around, windows down, belting out the words to the latest summer hit (we'll admit it's one of our fave pastimes), so we couldn't help but pay tribute to the sweetest tune of the season.
The sun is shining, the radio's blaring and we're in A-list karaoke shape, so get ready to sound off and then sing along to the hottest summertime hit.
Remember, each day we're revealing a new category in our hot summer awards competition (don't forget to tweet your fab suggestions!), and then on Saturday we'll put the winners in a nice little gallery for you to feast your eyes upon.
But back to the music.
This summer has brought a slew of almost too-catchy tunes, most notably, Carly Rae Jepsen's hit "Call Me Maybe," but we're not complaining and can't help but burst into song every time this jam comes on. If you're looking for summer love, then this sweet summer anthem's a must, and we just can't get enough of J.Bieb's adorable protégé. The lyrics will most certainly be stuck in our head until September, but dare we say, if we had to lip-sync for our life, this would definitely be our song of choice.
But if you've already called me maybe one too many times, then perhaps you're rapping to Justin Bieber's hit "Boyfriend" when you're trying to find your inner swag. Sure, the Biebs is only 18 and he does sound a bit like the Ying Yang Twins in "Wait (The Whisper Song)" when he raps, but we can't help but think, "Dayum, Justin sure is sexy," every time we hear that swaggy jam.
But if the Biebs isn't just your fave summertime rapper in the biz, then look no further than our Ms. Nicki Minaj and her hit "Starships." Nicki's no stranger to controversy (Summer Jam, anyone?), but the quirky Barbie is fiercely loyal to her fans and her epic style never fails to entertain. Admit it, you just can't help but dance when Nicki's beat drops, and Minaj's crazy persona only makes her music that much more fun.
And last but certainly not least is Maroon 5's hottest jam of the summer, "Payphone." Maybe it's because we're totally obsessed with Adam Levine (seriously, he's so friggin' sexy), but we just can't get enough of this catchy song. We could watch Adam's sweet singing in that music vid all day and just imagine the tatted rock star giving us a private show. Hey, Adam, we're standing by in case you want to give us a ring. We might die of happiness if we hear your voice on the other line.
