Guy Ritchie Talks Madonna, Calls Marriage a "Soap Opera"

Ritchie talks life, kids, and his bad boy past in the latest issue of Details mag.

Trust, Guy Ritchie is no virgin to the Hollywood game. And after an eight-year marriage to the "Like a Virgin" singer herself, it's no surprise Guy's wised up a bit. 

In the latest issue of Details magazine, Ritchie spills (in a somewhat bizarre manner) on his new-found wisdom and takes a look back at his marriage to Madge. 

Cue the "Deeper and Deeper" background music, ‘cause this dude's ‘bout to get real. 

So, what's he have to say about the Material Girl? While he's certainly not backstabbing like Madonna's tell-all happy bro, he does seem relatively at ease with the marriage being dunzo:

"It's definitely not something I regret. The experience was ultimately very positive. I love the kids that came out of it," admits Guy. 

Wow, Guy, we're a bit surprised. You're talkin' like the marriage to Madge was your standard relaysh, and not like you were married to one of the world's most famous women. 

But wait, he does dish (or diss) a bit on their crazy life behind closed doors:

"But you move on, don't you? You're right, I stepped into a soap opera, and I lived in it for quite a long period of my life."

Calling your marriage a soap opera? That's a bold statement, Guy, and a very covert diss. But perhaps we're being too tough on the dude, and he's simply relieved to be out of the spotlight?

Sounds like a little of both, if ya ask us. After all, it certainly can't be easy taking a backseat to a woman who's teased the world with every shocking move up her sleeve.

So since Guy's so profound in this new life stage, he must have something to say on what he learned from his long relaysh?

Oh, he does, and kudos if you can figure out what the heck he's trying to say:

"When you end up with a lot of the things you set out to chase and find that you've stumbled into all sorts of hollow victories, then you become deeply philosophical. I'm quite happy that that experience was accelerated for me. I'm glad I made money, in other words. And I'm glad I got married."
