Best known as Jacob Black from the wildly popular Twilight movies, Taylor Lautner has earned a spot as one of Hollywood's hottest actors.
Before battling Robert Pattinson on the big screen, Taylor had some small TV and film appearances, which included bit parts on The Bernie Mac Show and My Wife and Kids. Lautner's "commercial breakthrough" came in 2005 when he was cast as Sharkboy in the film The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D.
In 2008, Taylor scored the coveted role as Jacob Black in Twilight. Originally, it was supposed to be a one-shot deal. Due to the transformation Jacob underwent in the story, the director actually planned on casting another actor to play the part in the second film, The Twilight Saga: New Moon. In an attempt to keep the role, Taylor put on 30 pounds of muscle. Mission accomplished, on both fronts.
Two women who got a close look at Taylor's transformation were Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift. In 2009, Lautner was seen out with Gomez in April and Swift in October. In fact, Lautner defended Swift in his Saturday Night Live opening monologue, mocking the Video Music Awards incident with Kanye West.
That same year, the teenager was voted one of GQ's "Men of the Year." He was also voted No. 3 in Men's Health "Top 10 Best Summer Bodies," No. 2 on our very own "E!'s Hottest Men of 2010," No. 4 on People's "50 Most Amazing Bodies" and No. 2 on Glamour's "50 Sexiest Men."
The icing on the cake to Lautner's great looks? He's also a humble hottie. When Rolling Stone asked Taylor how he felt about his sex symbol superstardom, his response was, "This could have happened to anyone who played Jacob. It's Twilight. It's not me personally."
