Swingers: The Golden Years?
Miramax
Yeah. I mean maybe. I mean definitely maybe. There is hope for a Swingers reunion. In 2005 Vince Vaughn confirmed that he and Jon Favreau had written a sequel to the cult classic but bailed on plans to make it when the original became such a huge hit, making the prospects of a follow-up success seem daunting.
But the other day when I chatted with Favreau at the World Poker Tour 5th Annual Invitational Tournament and asked him about a sequel, the odds were looking, well, sorta up again—even if it might end up being more like Grumpy Old Swingers.
“I don’t think so,” he said with a smile. “Vince and I like to work together. We did Made together and The Break-Up. But I think we’ll have to wait till we’re like The Sunshine Boys, two senior citizens who are roommates in the home.”
Can we start casting please?
Heather Graham returning as Mikey’s now ex-wife, who is alarmed that he has taken up with...
Sarah Silverman as the hot-tongued, pole-dancing instructor who tries to slip Viagra to all the men, even to...
David Faustino, making a lively addition to the crew as the guy who always wants to hit the early bird specials and hit on the ladies. Can you just picture 5'3 Faustino and 6'5 Vaughn facing off? I know I can.
Anyone else I’m forgetting?
