A Surprise Visit from Snoop at E!'s Holiday Party

RSVPs: Snoop Dogg, Chelsea Handler, Guiliana Rancic...
When: Dec. 11
Where: Sony Studios
One of the perks of working at E! is you never know who might show up at your holiday party. Another fun fact? CEO Ted Harbert doesn't just provide his people with an open bar—he's set up margarita bars to serve his own signature recipe to the thirsty masses, thereby ensuring his employees get their fill of top-shelf tequila at the company shindig.
Dance Floor Discussions: Around 10 p.m., Daily 10’s Clinton Sparks takes over the turntables and gets the party going with a mix of '80s tunes and more recent releases. As the Olly Girls from E!’s Sunset Tan are shaking their perfectly tanned booties, I spot Style Network newbie Jai Rodriguez busting a move with some buds. Since we all have work the next morning, I ask Jai for his best postparty pick-me-up. “A big bottle of water and two aspirin tonight,” he dishes. “And a Bloody Mary tomorrow!” Chelsea Handler, on the other hand, says Chuy (her right-hand man from Chelsea Lately) is her hangover helper.

Dogged Loyalty: There’s a sudden commotion in the reserved-seating area (aka the VIP section—can you believe our company party has one? It’s so L.A.). Snoop Dogg, the star of E!’s new Father Hood series, is in the hizzle for shizzle, wearing a huge fur coat to keep the cold at bay. As his new hit "Sexual Seduction" is being played, people crowd closer to get a glimpse and whip out their cell phones to shoot snaps of Snoop. But the rapper’s got tons of burly bodyguards who keep the IT guys from crushing him as they try to get close.
Employee of the Month: The Doggfather must want to get to know his new colleagues and coworkers, because he leaves the cushy confines of his VIP section to hang out with the regular folks. After making his way through the throng to the turntables, Snoop gets on the mike to greet guests. And just for the occasion, he even invents a new sign to flash to photographers!

Love it! Think it’ll replace the peace sign as the hot new hand signal for celebs to flash in 2008? Stay tuned.
