Stork Pays Visit to "Housewives"
Art really is imitating life on Wisteria Lane.
Less than a week after Marcia Cross announced she was expecting her first child with husband Tom Mahoney comes word that Bree Van De Kamp is expecting her third child with, well, who knows.
Eva Longoria spilled the news that her costar's pregnancy would be written into Desperate Housewives' third season, telling Access Hollywood that the with-child storyline was already in the works.
"They are writing it in," she said, failing to reveal the identity of the onscreen paternity.
"I don't know," she said. "Who knows who is going to knock her up on our show!"

While there's no official word on the papa-to-be, the season kicks off with Bree engaged to the mysterious Dr. Orson (Kyle MacLachlan), thereby making him the most likely claimant of the who's-the-daddy title.
Adding further fuel to the speculative fire is a rough cut of a steamy sex scene featuring "Brorson"--as the couple has been dubbed by enthusiastic fans--that leaked online earlier this month.
For its part, ABC denies that network flacks or show producers masterminded the leak to help pull the once-hot dramedy out of its undeniable sophomore slump, despite the nearly unanimous industry opinion that the footage could only have made it outside the network's editing bays with the help of a higher-level staffer.
The fact that a culprit has yet to be fingered--let alone aggressively sought out--only seems to support the notion that the leak was an inside job.
Still, while Bree's baby daddy remains unknown, Cross' is more easily identifiable.
Just a few months after tying the knot, the 45-year-old actress and her 48-year-old stockbroker hubby confirmed the impending stork delivery for April 2007.
That must have been some honeymoon.
