He's baaack.

Michael Scott may have long since upped sticks from Scranton, but Steve Carell is nevertheless set to return to prime-time next year when he makes a cameo—kind of—in another long-running comedy hit.

Which show is he set to guest star on?

The Simpsons!

Carell joins the laundry list of funny people who've crossed yellow-faced paths with the Springfield's infamous cartoon fam.

E! News has confirmed that the former Office star (and new SAG nominee!) will play Dan Gillick, a neurotically high-strung accountant for mobster Fat Tony (Joe Mantegna) who is ultimately put in charge of the illegal operation when the big boss is called to jury duty.

Can't wait for the episode? Sorry, but you're gonna have to. While a Fox rep confirmed to E! News that Carell has already recorded his voice for the role, though his stint won't air until next fall as part of the show's 24th season.
