A Spelling Reproduction

The Spelling dynasty is acquiring a new heir.

E! News has confirmed that Tori Spelling is expecting her first child with her husband of almost five months, actor Dean McDermott.

There was no official comment from the publicist for the former Beverly Hills, 90210 player, but sources close to the actress spilled the beans Tuesday--a day after ex-castmate Jennie Garth announced she had given birth to her third child this weekend.

Speculation over what was or wasn't a Spelling baby bump has been rampant since late July, with all rumors being duly denied by reps for the So NoTORIous star.

Indeed, Us Weekly reports the couple is "more than three months along," and E! Online senior editor Marc Malkin says the couple have been doing some shopping for baby at Petit Tresor in West Hollywood.

Spelling has already picked out a $2,200 custom white satin Moses basket decorated with 24-karat gilding and a $1,200 Mia Bossi diaper bag, per Malkin. Those two items are gender neutral, but McDermott may have unknowingly hinted at the baby's gender after showing particular interest in a baby-blue airplane clock.

"Dean and I are thrilled to be expecting our first child together," Spelling, 33, tells Us. "I can't wait to be a mom!" McDermott has a son, Jack, and an adopted daughter, Lola, 1, from his marriage to Mary Jo Eustace.

The daughter of late TV titan Aaron Spelling quietly tied the knot with McDermott in May, less than two years after swapping vows with first hubby Charlie Shanian during a million-dollar ceremony sponsored by Spelling's dad at the family's Holmby Hills mansion. Their divorce was final in April, just in time for the actress' second trip down the aisle.

No word yet on reactions by the rest of the Spelling clan to the good news, but perhaps it will help to close the gaping rift that opened up between Tori and mom Candy after Aaron Spelling's death in June.

Or at least perhaps the two of them will be able to sit beside each other the next time a major prime-time special pays tribute to the family patriarch.

Candy Spelling reportedly put the kibosh on Tori's plans to produce and host an ABC documentary about her father, refusing access to her late husband's extensive archive of work. That news came shortly after, according to Us Weekly, Tori found out she'd only be inheriting $800,000 from Aaron's vast fortune. This after Tori said she found out about her father's passing from a friend, by email.
