Source: Ryan Phillippe Will Support Ex's Baby—If He's the Father

You know who wasn't surprised when word got out that Ryan Phillippe's ex-girlfriend is pregnant?

A source assures E! News that, contrary to a report stating otherwise, the Lincoln Lawyer star was not "blindsided" by news of Alexis Knapp's expectant status, nor of her assertion that he's the father.
"He was the first to know," the source says. "She was sure it was his baby because they had just broken up. She doesn't date around and she hasn't dated anyone since him."
So, now that the ball's in Phillippe's court...
The source says that Phillippe plans to take a paternity test after the child is born and, if he is indeed the father, he will provide financial support.
Knapp, meanwhile, is "excited to be a mom," the insider adds.
The 21-year-old actress started seeing Phillippe last February, after he and Stop-Loss costar Abbie Cornish called it quits. They broke up sometime in October, shortly after which Knapp learned she was pregnant, the source tells E! News.
Knapp was then busy shooting So Undercover with Miley Cyrus in New Orleans.
Phillippe's rep has not yet returned calls for comment regarding the baby-daddy situation. He has two kids, 11-year-old Ava and 7-year-old Deacon, with ex-wife Reese Witherspoon.
