Love separation is in the air.
Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore, of seminal American alternative rock band Sonic Youth, are separating after being 27 years of mariage, a rep for their label, Matador Records, tells E! News

The couple married in 1984 and have a 17-year-old daughter together, Coco.
As for the band, well, you know the saying—"the show must go on."
"Sonic Youth, with both Kim and Thurston involved, will proceed with its South American tour dates in November," their rep said in a statement. "Plans beyond that tour are uncertain. The couple has requested respect for their personal privacy and does not wish to issue further comment."
