When it it came to this year's Tony Award nominations, the voters' Spidey sense wasn't exactly tingling as Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark didn't register in the glamour categories and only scored two nods—Best Costume Design and Best Scenic Design.

But this apparently isn't your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, and the folks behind the show are trying to get a little revenge.

Producers of the most expensive musical in Broadway history today announced plans to give free tickets to anyone with the first name of Anthony, Tony, Antoinette, Toni, or Antonio for a special performance on the same day as the Tony Awards—Sunday, June 10 at 3 p.m.

"It has been brought to our attention that the Tonys have been honoring Broadway for years, and we thought it was about time to repay the favor," producers Michael Cohl and Jeremiah Harris snarked in a joint statement. "Nothing would make us prouder than to have more Tonys than any other show on Broadway."

Eligible Tonys can pick up their ticket at the Foxwoods Theater Box Office beginning at 10 a.m. on June 4. The first 100 will be given a coupon they can redeem for a pair of tickets to that special matinee.

Ironically, while the oft-troubled tuner failed to swing any of the big nods, that didn't leave Spidy completely entirely absent from the major contenders. Andrew Garfield, who's set to play him on the big screen this summer in The Amazing Spider-Man, did garner a nomination for Best Actor in a Featured Role for the revival of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman.
