Sizemore Back to Rehab

Tom Sizemore's sordid slide from Hollywood's A-list continued Friday.

The once in-demand actor had his probation revoked and was ordered to remain in a locked-down rehab center after copping to using a prosthetic device to fake drug tests, among other bad behavior.

Sizemore was more than two hours late to the hearing; he was fetched by his lawyers after Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Paula Adele Mabrey threatened to have him arrested for the second time in as many weeks.

One he turned up, Sizemore did a 180 from previous testimony and admitted a slew of probation violations. He said he used a gadget called the Whizzinator to fake drug tests and failed to submit to drug testing on eight other occasions.

Mabrey, who admonished Sizemore for attempting to speak out of turn during the hearing, said he must remain in a Pasadena rehab center and be subjected to weekly drug testing until Sept. 15, when she will hold a progress hearing.

If Sizemore manages to behave himself, he may have his probation reinstated. If he messes up, he could wind up in state prison for up to three years.

"It seems harsh, but it's not," Sizemore told reporters after the hearing.

Sizemore's attorney, Michael Rovell, said the Saving Private Ryan costar had been in the rehabilitation facility since July 11, when he relocated from another clinic that wasn't sanctioned by the court.

The addled actor was originally ordered into drug treatment after pleading guilty in October to possession of methamphetamine.

He is still facing an additional 17 months in the slammer and more rehab time for violating his probation for his 2003 conviction for attacking and harassing ex-girlfriend Heidi Fleiss. The judge in that case, Antonio Barreto Jr., had allowed Sizemore to remain free on bail pending an appeal.
